With its stunning views and attractive waterside walks, Riverside Country Park attracts over 350,000 visitors a year, making it the perfect place for families to become acquainted with the North Kent Marshes.
The park is home to a number of different wildlife habitats, including mudflats, saltmarsh, reedbeds, ponds, grassland and scrub. The adjacent estuary is recognised both nationally and internationally as an important site for wintering ducks and waders, which thrive on the invertebrate rich mudflats. Amongst the birds regularly seen here during the winter months are Brent geese, pintail and dunlin.
