Urgent call to save Bangladesh from the impact of climate change

Low lying land will be the first, and worst, hit by climate change and at an International Symposium on Climate Change and Food Security in South Asia Bangladesh put forward a 12-point recommendation to combat the growing threat of climate change.
The Bangladeshi government are concerned that they will be worst hit by climate change, with rises in sea levels and increasing intensity of global weather patterns, and are calling for the high greenhouse gas emitters to combat the threat and provide resource to cope with the effects of climate change.
A projection from UN scientists claim that 17% of Bangladesh will be underwater due to rising sea levels by 2050, making 30 millions homeless as a result.
